Buru recognises that strong environmental performance is a measure of our success. We are committed to achieving our HSE goal of Zero Harm, planning and undertaking our operations in a sustainable manner by minimising impacts on the environment. Buru strives for our goal of Zero Harm through the setting, monitoring and reporting of health and safety objectives and targets.
These include no reportable HSE incidents, the implementation of an effective HSE Management System that is regularly audited, ensuing all personnel are trained, competent and fit for work.
Buru works closely with our stakeholders to ensure our projects minimise impacts on sensitive areas. We have adopted a continuous improvement process to continuously reduce the environmental impact of our operations.
Buru Energy's operations are regulated by the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation and, where required, the Environmental Protection Authority. We have ongoing audit programs in place to ensure compliance with our statutory approvals.
