Kimberley Girl 2018

The Kimberley and Pilbara Girl Program is a personal development, confidence building, community engagement and pathways program for young Indigenous women between the ages of 16 and 25 from around the Kimberley and Pilbara regions. The Kimberley and Pilbara Girl Program was once again delivered within a unique format aimed at fostering the most enthusiastic engagement possible resulting in maximum outcomes from its participants in the short time available for facilitation. It brings joy, pride and empowerment to Indigenous people of the region and throughout Australia. Kimberley and Pilbara Girl is about giving our young Indigenous women the wings to fly.

In front of a full house at Goolari Media in Broome Brittaney Skeen Mosquito from Warmun  was crowned the 2018 Kimberley Girl winner and Verinia Bin Saad from South Hedland was crowned the 2018 Pilbara Girl Winner.

Buru Energy was again proud to sponsor the event in 2018 after recognising the positive impact that the Kimberley and Pilbara Girl event has on women in the Kimberley community where Buru operates.
