Shooting Stars aims to empower Aboriginal girls and women by growing their confidence, identity, cultural connection, capacity, and resources to make informed decisions for themselves.
Shooting Stars launched its program at Derby Primary School in late 2015, and in 2021 was successful in expanding the program to the Derby District High School to now empower 120 participants from Years 3 to 12.
Buru was proud to provide sponsorship in 2021 to assist Shooting starts obtaining uniforms and attending sporting events for the Derby storm netball team
